According to the final autopsy report, the legendary singer drowned "lying face down" in a bathtub of "extremely hot water" nearly 12 inches deep, and she suffered small scald burns on her face at the time of her death. The report states that the assistant called Houston’s bodyguard, who helped pull her out of the tub, and a 911 call was placed at 3:43 p.m. At 3:46, paramedics on the scene determined that Houston was dead. The coroner later ruled Houston’s death an accident, and that she died from “drowning due to effects of atherosclerotic heart disease and cocaine use.”  A small spoon with “a white crystal like substance” on it was found on the counter in the bathroom, along with a rolled up piece of white paper, coroner's investigator Kristy McCracken wrote in the report.

Mary says that BK commercial shouldn't have aired because it wasn't finished!

"I understand my fans being upset by what they saw. But, if you're a Mary fan, you have to know I would never allow an unfinished spot like the one you saw go out." "I agreed to be a part of a fun and creative campaign that was supposed to feature a dream sequence. Unfortunately, that's not what was happening in that clip." 

 Burger King also released a statement apologizing to Mary for airing the commercial.  

"We would like to apologize to Mary J. and all of her fans for airing an ad that was not final."  And in case you missed it...
